Hello, Rogue Humans!

The past two weeks I spent in France were the warmest I’d ever experienced. 

You know, the kind of humidity that sticks to you from the moment you step outside and when there’s the slightest breeze it feels angels from above are flapping their wings at you like a gift from above and you need more more MORE? 

Yeah, that kind of humidity.

And that’s when you’re just standing there, not being active. 

I’m not typically a crabby person but dang, running through the streets (because no cab would come) with a heavy ass suitcase AND backpack uphill on cobblestone streets for 30+ minutes will test your limits. 

And test my limits it did! Which was a perfect opportunity for me to reflect on what I suggested in the last Humpday Hurdle:

I invite you to dig into a challenging relationship you might have with someone who rubs you the wrong way when you communicate or who you might miscommunicate with. If it’s at work, great. If it’s at home, that works too. 

For me, this was my partner and I - complete with stepdaughter in tow, getting to witness the whole thing.

Windy and I share a lot of interests: great food, great wine, dancing, reading, biking, traveling, plants...the list goes on.

But when it comes to communicating we have VERY different styles.

This, of course, is a breeding ground for misunderstandings!
