Letter 13: Holiday Hurricane Check-In: How Are We Holding Up?
It's Hannukah! Christmas is coming! The holidays are here and we are holding on for dear life.
I’m freshly back from a trip to Boston that was intended to be relaxing.
It was such a blur I barely remember it because it was 4 days crammed full of Too Much.
Here are a few highlights:
Friday night we rolled into Boston around 6pm, grabbed dinner and I had THE BEST hot lobster roll I have ever eaten in my entire life.
Drove to CT to see my mom which ended up being pretty great (despite getting caught in a MASSIVE rainstorm for 2 hours the next morning on the way back to Boston).
Saw Japanese House live and it was beyond incredible!
Visited some of the homes of my ancestors that were local to Boston (post forthcoming over the holidays about it).
This was my tenth trip this year.
This was my only trip that had nothing to do with work. And yet, with all the driving and orchestrating it didn’t feel much like a vacation.
