Fall into a giant pile of pillows and weighted blankets or whatever makes you feel chill and cozy as heck.
hygge: ( /ˈho͞oɡə,ˈho͝oɡə/ ): noun, verb.
a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture).

I’m into my Hygge holiday vibes.
Hygge became a big thing on the internet a few years ago although it’s been a part of Danish culture since the Norwegian term came to fruition in the 16th century which really means “to comfort.” And according to Danes, it’s a way of life that’s meant to be more of a constant thread rather than a moment.
As an American, I can say easily that I struggle with making sure there’s the comfort flavor in everything I do, so I’m going to try and lean into that this holiday season.
I think it’s important as an American to be okay with the confusion. With the comfort. Even if we take it to extremes this time of year because most of us likely don’t balance stuff enough the rest of the year.
For me I’m looking to see what I can make a cozy, repeatable pattern for the rest of the year.
